35mm black-and-white portrait series inspired by Cindy Sherman’s “Untitled Film Stills” (1977-1980).

“The implicit message in the portraits of this series is that representations of femininity are precisely that, little more than mere images. The images in the series do not only represent the traditionally prescribed boundaries of feminine character, but herself becomes, though transiently, all these women” (publicdelivery.org).

Cushing Revival

TYPEFACE DESIGN

Cushing is a rounded, warm serif typeface that feels both historical and approachable, rooted in early 20th-century American print culture. It was revived from a copper alloy type specimen book produced in Boston by Pettingill & Co. in 1901, a time when metal type was still physically cast and carefully engineered for durability and clarity in print.

Enclosed in Venice

This book cover redesign reimagines Venice Is a Fish through Tiziano Scarpa’s comparison of Venice to an apartment building, where even outdoor spaces feel enclosed like interior corridors and hallways. Building on this idea, the entire city is depicted as a single structure floating independently in the Adriatic Sea.
